Disturbed

Playing song : M Flo - Come Back to Me

My colleague is supposed to be on MC today. He is having migraine until he couldn't open his eyes. He called to postpone a meeting with client today.

Our boss said "How are u going to tell the client to postpone a meeting?" My colleague told him that he really couldn't come because he is feeling so unwell. The boss replied "Is that so? Fine, I will settle it myself!" and hung up.

Having heard of boss' angry tone, my colleague dragged himself to office. I was so shocked after seeing his condition. He looked so weak and his eyes were closed when we were having our conversation!

He told me that he is really pissed , considered the fact that he came to work when he had fever before. Now, the boss was so harsh on him.

Why would he wanna do that? Your employee is terribly sick and why did u wanna insist him to come?

Geez, I would be screwed if I couldn't deliver results within a month. *Sigh, I'm feeling so demoralized now.

Conclusion : The boss sux!

"In business world, an appointment is appointment, there is no cancel or postpone, that would turn ur customer or client away"

I don't think it is so absoulute. Definitely there are a lot of business appointsment got cancelled or postponed. If the client agrees (sometimes happily), then it can be postponed. If no one can take over the responsibility for a colleague on MC, then there is a obvious organisation problem within the company. No one is irreplaceable in a company. If my boss is so cold, I will prepare to leave ASAP. Sorry but I have the right to take MC, and you do not have the right to command or threaten me to work when I'm on MC.
