Heart-broken stranger gives away $15,000 ring

Woot! I'm speechless...

BOSTON (Reuters) -- Are diamonds really forever?

An anonymous gift-giver left a $15,000 diamond engagement ring to the owner of an unlocked car in western Massachusetts with a typed note hinting at a broken heart.

"Merry Christmas. Thank you for leaving your car door unlocked. Instead of stealing your car I gave you a present. Hopefully this will land in the hands of someone you love, for my love is gone now. Merry Christmas to you," the note said. (Watch footage of the diamond ring -- :40)

The three-diamond ring with a white-gold band appeared on the seat of the man's car at a train station in Westborough, about 30 miles west of Boston, on December 7, police said. Four days later, the man reported it to police.

"This appears to be random," said Westborough Police Lt. Paul Donnelly. "I think there was a search for a car that was unlocked."

The 37-year-old man decided to keep the ring after a jeweler appraised its value at $15,000, police said.

Wild Wild West

Yee ha! So this is the theme for our company annual dinner on this Friday. Everyone has to dress like a cowgirl/cowboy to match the theme. I still haven't started shopping for my costume yet. Anyone got any idea on what to buy? My colleagues have been talking about what to wear these few days. Hehe, I secretly thought of skipping the dinner if I couldn't find what to wear. :P

Just heard of something funny from HR just now. A contract worker who is based in Intel has sent in a complaint email. She has bought herself a costume of Salon girl just because she thought the theme is about Wild Western. She is very upset over the fact that she spent quite some money for it but the company told her that she is not qualified for the best costume competition. ^_^" The company already stated very clearly on the invitation letter - Participants to wear like Cowgirl/Cowboy. Guess she went so "wild" when she read the theme title and didn't notice the rest of the content. Hehe...

No Mood

Bloody no mood. Suddenly got a performance review meeting today. They gave me a "poor" rating for my handling of work schedule. Nobody knew that I have spent extra hours after work and during weekends, trying to catch up with the deadline. I have tried and yet I failed. Sian~ :/

Enjoy your weekend!

Yeah, weekend is finally here. I wish you guys have a great weekend!
Unfortunately, I need to work on my project on this weekend T_T as I'm behind my schedule. Anyhow, I feel that my progress is very slow as I'm not familiar with ASP.NET coding and I'm a total nut in OOP concept >_<. I have been working every weekday night so that I don't fall behind too much. Somemore, a new project is starting next week, feeling kinda stressed @@. Good thing is I'm learning new stuffs everyday. Anyway, my manager has extended my project deadline until next Tuesday.

Oh yeah, my brother is getting married soon. He is going to register on new year (1st of January). I promised to attend his girlfriend's (my future sister in law :P) xmas party on 25th.Therefore, I couldn't go to KL to meet you guys lah.

OK lah, enjoy your weekend, rest well, and eat well. ;)

Hey Peeps

Just some updates :

I went to JB and Singapore during Hari Raya, took quite some photos. Will post them once I bought a USB cable for my digicam.

I'm back to Penang and got a new job. I have been working as a Software Developer for 1/2 month now. I'm officially an ASP.Net developer, doing C# programming, learning everything from scratch. I hope I would catch up soon.

I truly enjoy my life here. Everyday, I just explore the good foods around penang with my bf. I just love to eat :P Ikan bakar is my favourite; Be it Malay or Chinese style, both are yummy. Hehe, don't forget the famous Mee Yoke, Char Koay Teow, Laksa, and etc. Food is really my main source of happiness. If you spotted a girl who keep smiling while eating in Penang, that's me. Hehe...

To my dear friends in KL : How are you guys? Hehe, quite miss you peeps leh. Hopefully can go to KL soon to eat that yummy steamboat at Cheras again. Haha, I keep mentioning foods today, feeling kinda hungry now. All right, back to work. :P
